“The Writer” tells the story of a female publisher ensnared in the imagination of a writer. As usual, she is supposed to visit the writer’s house to sign a new book contract, but this time, she arrives slightly late. The writer uses the extra time to write an unconventional story with no defined ending, setting a trap that turns the publisher into prey for the critic of his work, and the critic into prey for the publisher. In this chess game, the fate of the pieces rests in the hands of a writer for whom black and white make no difference...
HUNTER
The film “The Hunter” tells the story of a novice publisher, Soheila, and her husband Hamed, who become prey to Omid, the hunter. Omid sets a trap, making Hamed bait for Soheila and Soheila bait for Hamed. In the end, Farzaneh (Omid’s wife) falls into the trap set for Soheila and Hamed. In the final moments of the year, after buying items for the Haft-Seen table, Soheila receives a text message upon entering her home, informing her that Omid intends to kill Farzaneh. She and Hamed rush to Omid’s apartment. They find the living room in disarray, and the sound of water can be heard. Omid enters the living room from the bathroom behind them, locks the door, and, while accusing them of entering his home without permission and claiming he has killed Farzaneh in the bathroom, begins to serve them refreshments in an unconventional and humiliating manner, creating a psychologically uncomfortable situation. He accuses Soheila of supplying drugs to Farzaneh and Hamed of having an affair with his wife. Through this, Omid traps Soheila using Hamed and Hamed using Soheila, making both of them bait to ensnare Farzaneh. Omid then leaves them alone with Farzaneh and exits the apartment.

Chapter One: of the The film begins with the publisher introducing the writer, recounting the moments leading up to her meeting with him. The writer is finishing the final lines of his latest commissioned book. Meanwhile, the publisher is buying the writer’s favorite cheesecake and sends a message notifying him of her slight delay. The publisher senses from the writer’s reaction that, despite their emotional bond, the professional boundaries remain firm, and the next contract is in jeopardy. Calculating the delay, the writer decides to use the opportunity to break away from commissioned work for the first time in nine years and starts writing an unconventional, open-ended story called Pencil Sharpener. As the writer imagines the tale, the subsequent chapters of “The Writer” unfold.
